Scallop Chowder

In an attempt to use up some of the white wine and potatoes in the house, I found this recipe which sounded fast when I started. A lack of knowledge in how to deal with thin bacon, too many potatoes, not enough stock, ill-cooking scallops, and a lack of pepper later and I'd been in the kitchen over 2 hours. Thankfully, it all turned out pretty good in the end, especially with some additional parsley leaves, but the smell of scallops still refuses to leave the kitchen, 24 hours later.
