Me at Lake Placid
Have you ever read "The Giver"? If you haven't, it's this book that deals with a keeper of memories for a community. Some are happy, some are horrible, and some are very peaceful. In that society, the most peaceful memory from me would be from sitting on that mountain at Lake Placid.
It was dark and foggy (despite the blown-out sky) and I had to climb around on scattered boulders lying at funny angles to get to the edge. I moved back for this photo, but sitting with my feet over t he edge, dangling there, was truly an amazingly peaceful but exhilerating feeling for me, both at the same time.
